What happened

A single Telegram channel, @supernova_plus, reports that an overnight drone attack on Saint Petersburg struck an Ozon warehouse on Sofiyskaya Street, with the event logged at 05:12 UTC on 18 October 2026. The channel's original post is a fragmentary Russian phrase reading roughly 'Ozon ... situation', which gives little detail on damage, casualties or the exact building. The report places the warehouse within a wider, city-wide drone attack that other posts describe in the same overnight window. No official, company or independent imagery confirmation appears in the data, and the attacker is not identified. The 'UAS Strike' label and the attribution to Ukraine reflect the channel's framing rather than verified findings.

Context and assessment

Ozon is one of Russia's largest online retailers, and its distribution warehouses are dispersed across major cities, so a logistics site carries economic and supply-chain significance without necessarily being a military target. Within the same overnight window, the channel and related entries describe a set of other locations in Saint Petersburg: an unverified fragment mentioning Pulkovo airport at 03:05, a reported fire at the Ruchyi oil depot at 04:27, a fire on a bridge at 01:49, two air defense reports at 00:10 and 01:08, and a claimed attack on a data center at 01:08. The mix of fuel, transport, communications and retail targets suggests a multi-site pattern, but every item rests on one channel and most are unconfirmed. If drones were launched against several dispersed sites over several hours, that could indicate an effort to stretch air defenses or to create broad disruption, though the same cluster could also reflect rumor or overlapping posts. Saint Petersburg lies far from the front line, so any long-range drone activity there would be notable, but the data alone cannot establish scale, intent or responsibility.

Sources and confidence

All reporting comes from one Telegram channel, @supernova_plus, and every related entry traces back to the same source, so there is no independent cross-confirmation. The confidence score of 5.7 is low because it rests on a single unattributed channel, a fragmentary original post, a truncated related entry, and a location that does not match the city. Confidence would rise with corroboration from local or federal Russian authorities, a company statement from Ozon, geolocated video or photographs, or satellite imagery showing damage at a warehouse on the named street. It would fall if the channel retracted the post, if the footage proved to be recycled from an earlier event, or if other outlets reported no such incident.

Location

Sofiyskaya Street is a real thoroughfare in Saint Petersburg, but the coordinates attached to this event, 59.8784 north and 32.9479 east, fall well east of the city, far outside its urban area. The marker is therefore a region-level approximation rather than a placement of the warehouse, and it should not be read as the building's position. Saint Petersburg sits on the Gulf of Finland at the Neva River delta, and the city's airport at Pulkovo lies to the south. The street name itself has not been independently verified as the warehouse address.
