Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Intel Mapper website (intelmapper.com), the Intel Mapper Android app and the Intel Mapper iOS app (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by an independent developer, Ozan Durmaz, Türkiye ("we"). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Intel Mapper is an open-source-intelligence (OSINT) conflict map. It collects publicly available reports (social media posts, news, official statements, published front-line data) and places them on a map, with a confidence score and, where applicable, a "claim" or "unverified" label. • Reports may be incomplete, delayed, mistaken or deliberately false at the source. Locations are estimates. Front lines are approximate and may lag events by days.
• The Service is provided for information and research only. Do not rely on it for personal safety, travel, evacuation, military, legal, financial or other operational decisions.
• Content and features may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn at any time.

2. Accounts

Parts of the website can be used after signing in with Google or Patreon. You are responsible for activity under your account. The mobile apps do not require an account. You may ask us to delete your account data at any time (see Contact).

3. Pro subscriptions and paid features

• Website: paid tiers are managed through Patreon under Patreon's terms. Features attached to each tier are shown on the Pro page and may change over time.
• Android app: "Intel Mapper Pro" is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• iOS app: "Intel Mapper Pro" is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Prices, trial periods and billing periods are shown in the store before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play or App Store account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Refunds for app purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies; we cannot issue them directly.
• Pro removes advertising and unlocks extra features (for example infographics, the daily brief and additional map modes). Watching a rewarded ad or redeeming a gift code may grant temporary access where offered; such access is not a purchase and may be withdrawn.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, crawl or bulk-download the feeds, maps or media at a rate or in a way that burdens the Service, and do not resell the data. Programmatic access is available through the API on paid tiers, subject to the limits shown there.
• Do not attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, advertising or security measures.
• Do not use the Service to harass, threaten or target any person, or in violation of applicable sanctions or export laws.

5. Content and intellectual property

• Our own maps, text, graphics and videos may be shared and embedded for non-commercial purposes with visible credit to "intelmapper.com". Commercial use requires written permission.
• Third-party content shown or linked on the Service (posts from X and Telegram, photos, videos, news articles) belongs to its owners and is displayed for reporting and research. If you own content shown here and want it removed, contact us.
• Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, Mapbox and Maxar; front-line data from DeepStateMAP, ISW and Wikimedia Commons contributors where indicated, used under their respective licences.
• The Intel Mapper name, logo and software remain our property. The apps are licensed, not sold, to you for personal use on devices you own or control.

6. Advertising

Free use of the Service is supported by advertising served by Google AdMob (apps) and other partners. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not endorse advertised products. See the Privacy Policy for how ad personalisation and consent work.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any decision taken in reliance on the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Apple App Store terms

If you use the iOS app, the following also applies, as required by Apple: this agreement is between you and us only, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content; we, not Apple, are solely responsible for maintenance, support, warranty claims, product-liability claims, legal compliance and any claim that the app infringes third-party intellectual property; you must comply with the App Store Terms of Service and may use the app only on Apple-branded devices you own or control; you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the extent these terms do not cover a point.

9. Google Play terms

If you use the Android app, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download and purchases.

10. Termination and changes

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or abuse of the Service. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Material changes to paid features will be announced on the Service.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
